this is terrible homecoming is so close and i really want a date but i think its too late. i also need a dress. hmm what about nick preferably enzo but thats a long shot. this is a pretty lame post
What happened with the guy who asked you out but you hadn't yet made plans? I know what you mean about wanting a date, but a date that you know well and like makes for a pretty good time, going with friends or going alone and meeting up with friends also yields a good time, whereas going with a new person that you don't know well is iffy - could be great, could be a disaster, could be just so-so. Good luck finding a date (and dress, etc.) but know that you'll certainly have a good time if you go with friends but no date, too.
I HATE shopping for a particular outfit for a particular occasion - I can NEVER find what I want in that situation. I have taken to buying cool stuff when I find it on clearance racks and saving it up for the proper occasion. The last two "homecoming" dresses that I bought were $15 and $5, respectively. No kidding. And they were great dresses. However, if I had been paying full price for them, I would have deemed them not perfect enough. That's what I like about shopping clearance - I can buy good enough stuff (that turns out to be terrific) without the pressure to find the "perfect" whatever that I feel when I'm shelling out big bucks.
I just checked back over the comments I have left on your blog, and realized that I never told you about my friend Ron who was in a plane crash in late June. Anyway, I just had to share that, on October 16, he was able to stand up and start learning to walk again. I feel like everyone in the world should hear this news.
